Sacred Pictures of Ancient India

We consider only those who have taken the SivaSivaa Inner journey or a personal initiation with Nandhi, for the pilgrimage. This is simply because we wish to be in sync with each other. If you wish to be kept informed of our pilgrimage dates please email us.

Feeding the hungry This is the most noble act of giving that we as humans can offer one another! In the Siddha saying, it is, “It is the only pit of desire in human that can be filled”. Yet, the pangs of hunger is universal and many find it difficult to get that one meal a day. These photos celebrate the random kindness that generous beings came together to participate in- to feed stomachs!

Thiruvannamalai The sacred mountain that is worshipped as Lord Siva in the element of fire. For many thousands of years, Sages have revered this mountain as the Lord who grants enlightenment, as the protector and as the giver of boons. Even today, there are many Sages who are in meditative contemplation for years together in and around this sacred mountain.

Ayya Vaikunthar Samadhi – This is a sacred photo that we were allowed to take inside the sanctum sanctorum!

Siddhar Bhoganathar Samadhi Powerful presence of this amazing Siddhar still vibrates in the samadhi. This is a Siddhar who attained all the 8 forms of divine perfection. Siddhar Bhoganathar had written in his works, “I founded Islam!”.

Siddha Siva ShrinesThese are rare photos taken within the sanctum sanctorum of the Siva shrines that has been worshipped by the Siddhars through ages.

Temples
These are a few temples. South India has over 10,000 amazing such temples built with extreme dedication and inspiration by successive rulers. It is surprising that the Taj Mahal has been touted as one of the wonders of the world, when just one of the temples like the Madurai Meenakshi temple would have taken not less than 10-15 times the inputs of man-labour, capital and time, not to mention- the skill in working hard granite.

A few Siddha Sages Most of the truly enlightened beings doing not like being taken photos of. These photos are just a few that could be taken.

Sandhya- The sacred evenings in India– Upon setting foot on Mother India, we can feel the ancient
calm energy .. the deep
sense of union with the eternal and of course, the intense karma burning!

Forest Mother Kali- She stood.. awakening our being to the divine grace that She is!

Siddha Wilderness These ancient spiritual centers resonate
with the Siddha energy. Most of these wonderful places are in the forests on mountains of the western ghats (south India) where pure air, mountain streams, ayurvedic herbs and loud silence of solitude are the sacred elements that nourish the penance of Sages.
